Dear Parents,

Happy New Year!  Welcome to a new week at school and welcome to a new friend, Molly!  We have a busy week planned.  Our new theme for the month is Seasons All Around.  This week's theme is "Weather Report."  Some stories we will be reading this week are Bear in Sunshine, Rain, and When Winter Comes.  In addition to our daily songs, we will sing our new theme song, "It's Raining, It's Pouring", and "Oh, Mr. Sun".  This week in math we will work with sets of 6 and 7 and ordinal numbers.  Our new letter of the week is Uu.  Help your child look for this letter at home or while out and about; try to think of words that begin with this letter.  For art, we will make snowflakes and snowmen.  Our religion story this week is "Jesus in the Temple."  Have a great week!  As always, if you have any questions, please contact me.

Reminders:  We go outside all year; please be sure to dress your child appropriately.  Remember to label jackets, hats, and mittens/gloves.
