Current
Events Power Point/Photo Story Presentation Guidelines
for 7th
and 8th Grade Students
1. Presentation should be at least 15 slides in
length.
2. First slide should have the flag and the map of
the country or city displayed.
3. A descriptive paragraph telling about the
landforms and the bodies of water found in and around the
country/city including rivers, valleys etc.
4.Five pictures of tourist attractions found in
the country/city with an explanation from you that identifies,
locates, and describes each one.
5. Identify the major language of the
country/city.
6. Identify the leader of the country/city and the
type of government. (Dictatorship, Democracy, etc.)
7. A national holiday that is celebrated in the
country /city, the date, and the reason it is celebrated.
8. The major economy.
9. Any other interesting facts you come upon and
the current situation in that country/city.
How to
get a great mark on your presentation!
When you do your slides don't just copy and paste
a picture and information and just read your presentation from the
slide. For example, if you have a slide on the Empire State Building
have a picture on the slide and just identify it then from your own
notes, which you may hold, give the history, size, stories behind
the building of it, King Kong climbing it in a movie, and any other
information. Do not put all this information on the slide. No one will be able to read
it.
Bring food! If you have Japan bring
Sushi for example. Bring a
food from that country or city. Wear a costume. Play music.
Prepare your presentation. It shows when you do.
When you are finished email it to me at
ggillin@sainthelenaschool.org
also, save it to a cd or flash drive as backup.
Be sure to send it to me at least
two days before your
presentation!
When the Country/City turns
Green you can click on it and see the
presentation.
