Happy Thanksgiving

As we approach the Feast of Thanksgiving, let's do so with grateful hearts!  You can be so very proud of all of your accomplishments in preparing for this Feast:  Our beautiful Thanksgiving Liturgy and Simple Supper nourished us spiritually as well as giving us a chance to "eat simply" and help our neighbors at Women of Hope - we collected $1200.00!  Sister Anna Mae was overcome with emotion upon receiving this gift!

Through the children's auction and your donation of non-perishable items, we were able to supply 30 full dinners, from Soup to Nuts, with plenty of canned goods and food items that will last them well into Christmas!  It took four eighth grade boys to carry each basket - the eyes of the recipients were wide with wonder and delight.

We were also able to give an additional 8 people twenty pound turkeys for their holiday enjoyment.

As I look around I personally can't even imagine being more grateful for so many things, primary on my list is ministering and belonging to such a loving, compassionate and generous community ... YOU!  God has blessed me in ever so many ways ... to quote a very famous writer, For all that has been ...Thanks; ...For all that will be ... Yes!

Soccer Champs

On Saturday evening, November 5, our Soccer Team, under the splendid coaching of Dan Holder and Bill Loftus, won the Region 21 Soccer Championships … again!  Wow!  What a game it was – the team pulled together and won in the 2nd overtime.  Gabe Holder had the winning shot and Charlie Harrison was rock solid as our goal keeper!  There was a terrific turnout of fans for SHS including: alumni, parents who don't have kids on the team, as well of fellow students.  Meanwhile, the school principal was riding through the streets of King of Prussia and Wayne looking for the field!  The cheering section was phenomenal!  The team really felt the energy and knows they were well supported!  We are grateful for such a glorious display of hard team work!  Congratulations!
