ART EXPRESS &
ART GOES TO SCHOOL
(2009)
Updated 5/29/2009
As the year draws to a close, I would just like thank ALL of the amazing volunteers who bring art to our St. Helena Students. Whether it was "hands-on" in ART EXPRESS, or discussing various artists & styles through ART GOES TO SCHOOL... we were able to enrich our children's lives by showing them an appreciation for the art!
Next year Tina DeLuca will be coordinating the ART EXPRESS Program and Beth Niekelski will be heading up the Art Goes To School Program and Maryann Brophy will be sending out Sr. Cathe's Christmas Card Contest. Please contact them to show your support of the arts by volunteering to assist their efforts1
I have truly enjoyed working with all the great volunteers, teachers and students at St. Helena School. Thank you for all your years of support.

1) ART GOES TO SCHOOL
Art Goes To School Volunteers working with our highly educated students.
The Art Goes to School Program involves volunteers going into every classroom only 4 mornings a year to discuss reproductions of artworks from a rotating portfolio. Reference materials about each artist & artwork are provided and NO ART EXPERIENCE is required! Four pre-scheduled Fridays 8:30am to 12:15
We invite anyone to come and observe our AGTS program - we're always looking for volunteers - the more the merrier!
2) ART EXPRESS . Volunteers go into their child's classroom & demonstrate "hands-on" art techniques with a variety of art mediums. Flexible scheduling around the teacher. Annual Student Art Show in May shows work from every student. We are compiling volunteer lists now. Please contact Joan Rongione to volunteer or get additional information.
