CYO Community Service Corps (CSC)
CSC is a part of St. Helena’s Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) that is focused on the service aspect of our faith. CSC at St. Helena’s is open to all students in our parish in Grades 5-8.
As a member of CSC, students participate in monthly service activities that benefit our parish and/or community.
Service Events are typically held on one Sunday a month at St. Helena’s and are usually 1.5 – 3 hours in length. Members will be notified via e-mail of each event, its goals and how they can contribute to the activity. CSC member contributions include time and talent as well as items used in the activity.
For those preparing to receive Confirmation, time spent in the CSC events can count towards service time needed.
The CSC Committee, composed of parish members, (who usually are parents of CSC members) meets monthly to plan all of the events and leads the activities. We are looking for new members of the CSC Committee, so if you are interested, please e-mail shs_csc@hotmail.com or call Marianne Smith (610)-278-0718.
For further information, you can e-mail shs_csc@hotmail.com or call Marianne Smith at 610-278-07182008 – 2009 Community Service Corps (CSC) Schedule2009 – 2010 Tentative Community Service Corps (CSC) Schedule
We just wanted to say Thank You to all of the CSC members and their parents, for a terrific year! We accomplished quite a lot this year helping out our community. Here is a list of the service projects we completed this school year – see how much we accomplished with 50 CSC Members!
We received several thank you notes from people who benefited from our efforts. With a little time and effort, we certainly made a difference!
We wish all of you a terrific end of the school year and summer. For those graduating from SHS, we wish you all the best in High School! We hope to see you back in September for another year of CSC!
