At Saint Helena’s Parish in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, our Community Service Corps through our Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) is rooted in our Catholic faith and the teachings of Christ. We seek to inspire and nurture a spirit of service, compassion, and leadership among our youth. Through various programs, the CSC endeavors to meet the needs of the community in five overall areas: Service to Children, Service to the Poor and Disadvantaged, Service to People with Disabilities, Service to the Elderly, and Service to Peers by hosting a number of Community Service activities throughout the year.
For students in grades six through eight, our Middle School Community Service Corps empowers young disciples to actively engage with our parish and local community through meaningful service opportunities. By encouraging a commitment to faith in action, we aim to cultivate responsibility, empathy, and a lifelong dedication to serving others. It is our mission that our youth will come to understand that through their individual and group actions, they make a positive difference in the lives of others and make the world a better place to live.
For our younger members, the Junior Community Service Corp (grades kindergarten through five) introduces the values of kindness, generosity, and teamwork through age-appropriate service projects. These early experiences foster a joyful and compassionate foundation for living out the Gospel message in service to others.
Together, we strive to form hearts for service, hands for action, and lives rooted in Christ.
