1. Religion- Please study the Children’s Suscipe.  Read facts 86-87
2. Spelling- H copybook-write the spelling words 2x each. From now, we will have 10 spelling words! (her, fern, girl, sir, stir, bird, fur, hurt, turn, third).
3. Math- Lesson 15.2 p. 167-168
4. Reading– study the words under Grow, Plants, Grow!: Week 2. The sight words are listed below on this page.  You will click on a Google link to access them. It is a good idea to make flash cards for these words.

Wednesday, April 24

1. Religion- Please study the Children’s Suscipe.  Read facts 88-89
2. Reading- Read and Respond Packet in H-Folder.  This week’s story is called When Tom Grows Up.  Please read the story with your child and verbally discuss the Read and Respond questions on each page. Those answers do not need to be written.  On pg. 183, please have your child answer the questions using pencil.
3. Math- Lesson 15.3 p. 169-170
4. Reading– study the words under Grow, Plants, Grow!: Week 2. The sight words are listed below on this page.  You will click on a Google link to access them. It is a good idea to make flash cards for these words.

Thursday, April 25

1. Religion- Please study the Children’s Suscipe.  Read facts 90
2. Spelling- Please study the words for the test tomorrow (her, fern, girl, sir, stir, bird, fur, hurt, turn, third).
3. Handwriting- H copybook-  Write three sentences including one of your spelling words in each sentence. Underline the spelling word that you used.
4. Math- Lesson 15.4 p. 171-172

6. Dress Down Day: It is a dress down day on Monday, April 29 for Travis Manion. On Monday, please bring in a monetary donation to dress down in red, white, and blue.

In addition to your child’s written homework, please read to your child and/or have your child read to you for at least 20 minutes each night. I have included in your child’s Home Folder a Reading log for the month of April. Please fill out each night that you read to earn tickets and prizes!

High Frequency Words
Click here or the link below to access each week’s high frequency words.  It is a good idea to make flash cards of these words.  The children will see these words on their tests.  Recognizing words by sight helps kids become faster, more fluent readers.
